Linky Lovin' Friday {15th August 2014}
In light of my recent post about Blog Rolls I thought I might try something new in the form of a Linky Lovin' Friday. The idea being that every Friday (or as close to every Friday as possible, let's face it, sometimes life just gets in the way!) I'll write a quick post with some of the things I've been reading and enjoying for the week.
It will be a mixed bag of posts that have really struck a chord with me, interesting blogging tips and tricks I've found around the traps, and basically just anything that has caught my eye and taken my fancy.
And so, without further ado, please get ready for the first instalment of Linky Lovin' Friday!

Setting up Pinterest Rich Pins for WordPress and Blogger by Blogging It Forward
If you've been wondering how people are getting sweet little logos and descriptions on the pins they pin from their websites and want to do the same then this is the post for you. Whether you use WordPress or Blogger, you'll find the instructions easy to follow. I've used the instructions myself this week and hopefully you'll start seeing my rich pins soon.
The Dichotomy of Strength and Weakness by Zoey Martin
Top 10 Tips every first-time ProBlogger attendee should know by Emily at Have a Laugh On Me
If you're heading to ProBlogger in a couple of weeks and you've never been before then you should most definitely read this post from Emily. It's got everything you need to know to make your conference experience as good as it can possibly be.
The conversation has already started by Tegan at Musings of the Misguided
So there you have it, my first Linky Lovin' Friday post. What have you been reading this week? Anything you think I should really check out? Link to it or your own post in the comments below and have a great weekend!
P.S. I'm also guest-blogging over at the lovely My Brown Paper Packages today and sharing 5 of my favourite things, so make sure you pop over and check it out!

Perhaps, instead of waiting for Prince Charming (who likely wasn’t coming), and instead of hoping for someone to arrive to make her feel better about herself, she could start loving herself.Jess has written a beautiful, three-part story about self-worth and love and it is such a great read. Lovely words from a lovely lady.
Surely, she was worth that?

The Dichotomy of Strength and Weakness by Zoey Martin
That person who couldn’t leave their abusive partner, or that person who committed suicide, or that person who is addicted to whatever it is they are addicted to is not weak by default because their end result doesn’t equate with a morally good and acceptable value. That person is probably the strongest person you know.I love this post from Zoey about the way we attribute things that we see as morally good with being strong. It's something I'd not realised or thought about before, but it makes a lot of sense.

The conversation has already started by Tegan at Musings of the Misguided
The conversation started long before I started blogging. We still have a long way to go, there are still so many people suffering in silence and while we allow people to censor our words the stigma will continue. Until we say fuck you to those who are uncomfortable with our truth then more people will continue to be hurt. There's been a lot written in the wake of Robin Williams' suicide, but this piece by Tegan really hit the spot for me. Tegan works tirelessly to break through the stigma of mental illness and her entire blog is well worth a read.

How to work or blog from home with kids
I read two great posts this week on how to work or blog from home with kids. There was this beauty by the lovely Mrs D Plus 3, and then this one over here by Kristen from When at Home. Both posts were really interesting and will really come in handy now thanks to my newfound status of SAHM who is also trying to blog and study!
