Nine {2016 52 week project} | Photography
{Sisters} We had a picnic dinner in the backyard. I asked them to show me their dinner. So they opened their mouths. Not quite what I meant!
{Punky} After a big of throwing instruction it was time for Daddy to demonstrate his superior high-throwing skills. Punky was rapt!
{Zee} Total vegemite kid!
{Me} Week 9 saw the theme of photographing somewhere you haven't photographed before. It's been a very long time since I last visited Austinmer Beach, down near Wollongong. We used to go down there often after school when I was a kid, We'd splash in the surf, play in the sand and have chip sandwiches for dinner. It was the best way to spend hot summer afternoons.
I suggested the other week that we should head down there for family night before the weather gets to cool. It's the ultimate beach for kids, with an amazing rock pool to swim in, lots to explore and plenty of sandy shoreline to play on. The girls absolutely loved it, and I really enjoyed introducing them to one of my favourite childhood spots. I'll have more photos from our visit on the blog soon, but if you're in Sydney you should definitely put Austinmer Beach on your list of places to check out.
