IBOT Bits & Pieces | IBOT
May, oh May, where have you gone. Less than 10 days left of you I really can't believe it. The year is almost half over?!?!?! Seriously, time is SUCH a thief! It's really not fair!
Life is a little bit crazy right now, I've gone from having a wide open to calendar to realising that the end-of-year busyness has moved up it's schedule and has moved in 4 months early! I can't complain though, it's wonderful to have so many things to do and places to be, especially when they are all such fun. But gosh, the logistics can sometimes be such a punish, can't they?!
It suddenly dawned on me yesterday that it's May, we head to Hawaii in less than 2 months now, and I haven't done anything about organising Dave to get his passport renewed (I have to remind him to do these kinds of things because he pretty much never knows what day it is, let alone what month!). I also haven't actually booked our accommodation but I'm not too worried, it's Waikiki after all, it's not like there is a shortage of places to stay! The whole place is basically one big resort, I'm not sure anyone actually lives there, lol!
On the weekend just gone we celebrated my sister's 30th birthday. She wanted a costume party, Hollywood themed and it was good to see everyone get in the dress-up spirit. My brother-in-law absolutely stole the show with his Mrs. Doubtfire costume and quite rightly took out the Best Dressed prize on the night.
I enjoyed getting to spend some time with my family, especially my sister Kate and her husband who came up from Wagga for the weekend. It was really good to stay up late together and watch a movie and just generally hang out.
Something else a little exciting that took place was having a Motherhood photo shoot with the freakishly talented Tarynn Walker Photography. The girls and I got all frocked up (I even had my make-up professionally done for the occasion!) and headed over to Centennial Park where we met Tarynn and spent a lovely couple of hours being photographed & filmed. Tarynn is one of those people who is so incredibly beautiful & down-to-earth and I instantly felt relaxed as soon as we got there.
Thankfully the girls behaved for the most part, and Tarynn was able to work her magic! And magic is really is. She's sent me a few images from our shoot already and to say I'm in love would be an understatement!!! I want to wallpaper my house with them, lol! If you want to see more of Tarynn's amazing images from our session and her beautiful work in general make sure you check out her Instagram account here (and you can see some on my account here as well).
That's it from me this week, I can't believe I've even managed to get this up, our internet has been so freaking bad the last few weeks! Makes it really hard to get work done when you require a good internet connection to do said work. Get it done I have though, even if it's all taken twice as long!
Oh, and our fridge decided to up and die on us at 1:30pm yesterday arvo as well, so that meant making a dash over to Penrith to buy a new one. What crazyness! But we are getting a new one and it's slightly bigger than our old one (the old girl had a good run, she was over 11 years old, after all!) and we only have to survive the rest of today living out of eskys until the new one gets delivered tomorrow!
So that's my bits & pieces from the last week. How has your week been? Did you watch the royal wedding on the weekend?
